Your duty is clear - take hostages.

No, really, it does work.

Off topic, two nights ago I played a 6 player game in DEFAULT mode but random cities.

I came second (playing as S America, winner being Russia), with only 0.25 million deaths to my populace.

I was rather pleased with myself there, and wishing it was a SURVIVOR game

It seems that in quite a few games now that if I have 2 or 3 people swearing and stuff at me I've probably had a very good game. :D That, good sir, is very true. I royally kicked arse and it felt great. I must say, once he kicked off and started up it felt even better being able to switch 3 airbase...

Abusive Player

Just a general post about a game I played recently. Now before anyone says "oh, there's no one way to play" or "everybody is different" - I know this, and I'm not trying to make a thing of it, I'm just recounting a story. It was a 6 player game, no previous history between the pl...

Apologies about the lack of Wales in the line up.

Refreshing to see so many people like pie though.

Am I the only person who wants to take out the bears?

Nuke what?

OK, you've got a tasty supply of nukes, all the other countries have been cleaned off the board.

You are sat in your bunker, the last human alive, and the targeting computer splutters to life.

"What would you like to target now?"

Hey, what's wrong with eating Panda's? They are both adorable and delicious! Pandas are too close to being wiped out for eating. At the moment anyway. Personally, I'm going without Panda at the moment in the hope that they recover in the wild. If, by the time I'm 70, I can walk into McDonalds and o...

wouldn't it depend on the dinosaur? the exact species?

I've never seen a dino with B52 bombers resting on it, but I did have a nasty fight with a wolly mammoth in a pub a few weeks ago.

Picking up on this point from Walrus47 Whats sad is feeling the need to come back to a forum like this to judge people against what you may have done in the last while. Dont assume that anything youve done is more worthwhile than how anyone else may have spent their time. would have thought that you...

Another controversial topic - I have been usually ignoring the strategy of sailing the wrong way around the world to attack someone's undefended rear. Even though it's often a good idea, it takes a long time and has resupply problems so would tend to lose to a defending fleet with support from grou...

I would agree this would make it more "realistic" but like all things, how far do you take realism. Annoying, circular missives aside... would be interesting for it not to feature in the game as such, but rather on the end of game score sheet. Radiation Leakage or similar could take the to...

I typically form my alliances for the purpose of getting a proxy. Slipping 1-5 warheads towards a target then holding back (i.e sacraficing a sub or two) if often enough to get some novice players thinking "right, he's going for it, lets goooooooooo!" and launching everything the've got ag...
