Defcon Darwinia Uplink When I first played uplink I was amazed, but after a while the tension is gone, you know how all the software works, you realise the game is quite small in scope, and it becomes obvious that it's only a game and doesn't come close to realism. Brilliant first effort from a smal...

Birds of fiery armageddon are in the air, you're the president of a nation able to stop the end of the world. Wouldn't you start shooting them down?

I know I fuzzling would.

Change thread priority Doesn't seem to help much. Defcon is always running, unless you pause it. Even minimized, it is running. Furthermore, it will take as many CPU cycles as it can get, because that allows it to keep up with the AI, framerates, &c. Yeah, but while minimized, the game shouldn'...

If you're referring to the message that appears above a hit city, it only appears if the hit results in the city losing 1 million or more people. Hence, if you nuke somewhere that has 1.9 or 1.8, no message will appear, since you killed 0.9 million-ish people. Note that each nuke hit kills half the...

Hmm, I might FRAPS a minute or two of gameplay tomorrow and up it to Youtube, but I don't think it's a bug.

Assuming the enemy doesn't have any defensive silos or anything nearby do nukes still land off target? If so then good, it must be that, but it's hard to tell really.

Simple scoring question

This is probably a really obvious thing that i've failed to work out through the tutorials and casual play but I was wondering what exactly determines wether nuking a city will cause any loss of life from a given nuke? Quite a few frustrating times I've started my main offense on a group of cities a...

To clear up any possible misunderstandings: I'm 14. I just said Nameless_ said he was opposed to blowjobs, but the way he put it definitely came out wrong. If you don't understand this, you probably need to know what a blowjob actually is... Jelco I added no pun intended cause I was aware of that, ...

Despite the fact that TC is an idiot, he's right, Blue Sky is pretty fun, albeit rough around the edges production wise. A lot more immersive, even if it is still sensationalised. Crackinga bank for example goes something like this: scan bank-blah.atm Set up bounces crack bank-blah.atm Wait decrypt ...

You -can- exit your gateway and quit, everything saves automatically as long as you're not caught.

You bounce through InterNIC first because you can quickly and safely deal with logs from there, after you first hack it you can just use that password from then on.

As long as the first bounce point is clear you're alright.

Go to the hardware tab and click "View Gateway", if you're using the default gateway, your memory slots are the things under the CPU.

Before I say this, I'll point out that I'm as hot blooded as the next guy and don't think this out of naivety or immaturity, but I think blowjobs suck.

No pun intended.

Oh man, the stock sound I HATE more than anything is the "burst of flame" one, if ever a bomb, grenade, flamethrower, flaming vehicle, burning sofa or anything of the like occurs in a less than big-budget tv-show, you get a cheesy "SHWEASH" noise that stands out more than a lemon...

Option 3 probably, although I don't really stick to one style. I find if it's too fast, you're rushing everything and that results in a less satisfying outcome. If the pacing isn't too intense then when the cities do start to burn you can be sure that it's a direct result of your skill, rather than ...
