I also suffer from the never ending Connecting Attempts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,6 , 7 etc etc And the sychronising that goes backwards ???? ending up quoting 24 hours to sychronise! what is that about?? Nonetheless others seem to be able to join. I know nothing about networks, and hence have no theories how t...

Loosing badly, but winning

I have played at least 3 games recently where i have been kicked from the diplomatic start point early game and been nuked to hell by all the other players at once, and lost my fleets yet seem to have won regardless. A cannot help but attempt to supress a wry smile. Time to experiment with no win st...

Re: ha ah!

PDF manual for the win. 6 Silos each with 10nukes 60 total :) do i win a prize PsychicKid???? No, because you have neglected the nukes in the subs, in bombers and in carriers and airbases. I think there are like 120 in total or something like that, depending on how the game is set up. My Maths aint...

 OK, Sorry,I wasn't actually accusing anyone of plagiarism, it was a Suggestion. Considering the title of the thread, this statement is the funniest thing I've read this week. Thanks! What i think he meant was why not look at this game and see if theres anything that works and use some of it ...

Generally, I use groups of three. Three battleships, three subs, three carriers, in groups, and mass them together where i think they are needed. This gives opertunities for outflanking, entire fleet positioning, provides a defensive barrier against bomber and aircraft attack, and allows co-ordinate...

Love Diplo. I regularly run a server named Diplomania about your timezone siberian. In fact I think we have played before a couple of times.

I'm a firm believer in staying put till the bitter end. Looking forward to playing with you guys again

Yes I'm suggesting that thier units etc either disapear or just get greyed out. There could of course be some grace time to allow a connection problem to reconnect, and after that the 'player' just stops doing anything, rather than switching over to cpu control.

Running 2 accounts...

It is possible, if you buy two codes, to run two accounts on the same PC.

This can have devastating effects on diplomatic games as you can imagine.

Discuss...

Idea for Dropouts

Hi Boards, I have an indea that would squish a pain in the buttocks for me. When plyers drop out of the game, the CPU takes over. Fair enuff. But this is sometimes annoying and can lead to one sided diplo games in particular. Why not have the server option to DISABLE players that drop? This would ma...
