Also make sure it's color depth is 24-bit. Try opening the image in another program, and saving it again as BMP.

I think I've mentioned it before, but make sure the dimensions of blur.bmp are exactly a power of two. If it's off by just one pixel, ModSuite will run very slowly or not at all.

Some examples of power-of-two dimensions:
2^9 x 2^9 = 512 x 512
2^8 x 2^7 = 256 x 128
2^11 x 2^11 = 2048 x 2048

Good stuff. I agree that a Max plugin would be taking it a bit far, but is there any chance of a future version mapping those blobs to cities and lines to borders?

City markers are really tiny, so make sure to zoom in as much as possible. It was actually one of the things I wanted to improve, but for some reason I didn't.

Hehe. Try replacing all of them with blank audio files of the same format. Unfortunately for you they're OGG files, so you probably can't just do it with the Windows Sound Recorder. You could use something like WinLAME to convert the WAV file to OGG though.

So anyway, I asked zanzer7 long ago to host Mod Suite version 11F on his page, but I haven't heard from him since then, so I'm beginning to become impatient. If anyone else wants to host or just take a look at version 11F, send me a PM with your email address. Note to GMail users: You will have to b...

If it gets stuck at startup but doesn't crash with an error message, you've likely provided an image whose size isn't a power of two. For some reason OpenGL will still load such images (eventually), but everything just goes a lot slower. An improved version will hopefully be available in the very ne...

I compared my coastline file to the original coastline file in notepad... turns out the frist two lines shouldn't be there. The first line was blank, and the second held the coordinates "0 0". I'd imagine Defcon didn't initialize the array to hold the "0 0" point because there wa...

I haven't installed any patches, so unless Steam screwed up, I'd be using 1.1. Or did you mean the Mod Suite version?

Mod Suite, Coastlines and Defcon crashes

I'm working on a new map, currently under the name New Earth . It looks like this: http://img273.imageshack.us/img273/7672/newearthnk5.th.png A resized version of that will be used as blur.bmp. I've already tried it, and it works. However, I've also made the coastlines with the Mod Suite, but now de...
