Defcon playerbase degenerated to Counter-strike level?

Well today I played my first game of defcon in a long long time. I used to play quite regularly when the game first launched with the EU (electronic-union) guys as my handle "The Wombat" or "(eu)The Wombat". Now I for one believe in non-team set games backstabbing is a perfectly ...

I found it offensive, but nothing to get whipped up about. HIV/AIDS is no laughing matter as it's a real problem. A nuclear holocaust is (as far as I'm aware) a fictional problem. One can be laughed about (at the moment, fingers crossed), the other cannot. And the inference that AIDS is an African ...

I completely agree.... I don't know the devs could do this but I think this should be the main focus of the next patch!

I'd honestly say 80-90% in 6 player games, and I do believe there are forum goers here that can back my claim =)

I am not that big a fan of clans, but do like the 'trust' that they bring when playing. I can vouch for the (EU) group as I have seen them play and played with them. They are good. Quite often we have (eu) Mikes host our games... the game always has the name "www.electronic-union.com" and...

You're a marine...ok. Does professional military training help you in Defcon? (it's a possibility) Just so you know, I played you in a 6 player Survivor game. You were Asia and you won, I came in second. A friend who was playing with me came in last...mostly because of you turning his allies agains...

Yes i'm interested, but being in the UK time differences could be problematic for league games. I also notice the lack of clans and communities forming, and attribute it to the reasons menioned above. Because servers are not permanent fixtures it is only pure luck if you encounter the same players ...

It wouldnt take much effort at all to get a clan running within the EU when we are providing the forum space and ventrilo rooms.

Not to mention wouldnt you all love organized game play where the fear of a pissed off host shutting the server down was non-exsistant?

Carriers not responding

A small item I find annoying is when I launch fighters my carriers want to rush forward often causing me to take carrier loss. Even when told to move back the carriers continue their charge forward. I understand this is a function for fighter recovery but simply I'd rather not have it.
