1. We have a report button. Use it. Don't reply to spam pointing it out. That makes it no more visible. Less visible, in fact, because you bury it.
2. DON'T QUOTE the spam with the spam link intact.

Frankly, I can't tell the difference between 60 FPS and 120 FPS in your example. In such artificial testing scenarios, I can tell the difference between 60 FPS and 120 FPS very clearly, and the difference between 120 FPS with regular backlight and 120 FPS with the backlight pulsed to the refresh ra...

Hey, neat. If a post comes from the same IP as another, we admins can now correctly attribute the posts to the right person! Dantesinferno has been banned on moderator request. For the record, where I come from, if the only people complaining about a moderator are those getting moderated, that proba...

http://forums.introversion.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=7433&p=105994 Came up before. Was unable to help back then :( It may simply be a bug in how your GPU selects mipmap levels. Possibly similar problem (don't remember the specifics, images no longer work) was solved, though: http://forums.in...

Re: SFCON Unban Request
You seem to be confused about MAC addresses. They do not show up automatically. They are unknown to the server and can only be determined in special cases (LAN games, mostly). The discussion about it went nowhere because it had nowhere to go. What does show up automatically is the IP address. Whethe...

Yeah, they were added in quite late (was it with 1.6?). Expect buggery.

Re: Steam Achievments don't work!
Game modes may matter. Some achievements may only be granted on default games, or on games where your human opponent stayed to the end.

Re: High sec + Fog of war / High density prison
I respectfully disagree. Posting updates is one of the very few things where multi-posting is to be tolerated. Edits do not show up in any update notifications. I don't find it obnoxious, and I am easily... umm, obnoxified? Obnoxed? Annoyed. (Now, clearly, the preferred low-spam option in theory wou...

Yet again, I felt the need to overstep my spam moderator mandate a little and issued a formal warning for that one post. As per usual, should real moderators come around, they can feel free to correct me.

Re: Curing The Disease
1. MAC addresses can be spoofed easily. 2. MAC addresses are only visible on the local network, if at all. No chance the server can determine it. What can sort of work is if the client is modified to generate a fingerprint of the system (which may or may not include the MAC) and sends that with the ...

Re: Let's go.........RANDOM!
It is only a problem for those who care about the things it affects: input lag resp. system load. And I am not sure only NVidia cards are problematic. It's just what I have been using and developing with, so it is what I know. There are ways to combat the 100% CPU load, but they are tricky to get ri...

Now, as grownups, never. A good and tasteful casual joke about it may exist, but I expect to see a space elevator before I hear it. As wee lads, yes. Back when we hardly even knew what a Jew is. Jokes about Hitler and Nazis in general are OK, of course. That Downfall meme? Hilarious (the first two t...
