Cheers IV.

With all the hahahah`s, I`m guessing he didn`t. Probably 13 and too busy pumping his little willy while yelling "n00b" at other players online to properly read sensible posts...

Is it any help at all using any of the more retro themes for defcon? I`m thinking more along the lines of the plain black background/white borders looking themes (which means there`s a lot more separation of colours than there is against a blue/green/whatever fading background). There`s at least two...

Heh, I usually send (at least) one group of subs off the coast of my allies right after placing them in an allied game, just in case. Although I never set out to betray anyone at the start, and only been backstabbed twice, you just never know how the games gonna go

Yep, it`s happened a few times, although I just thought it was down to my age (runs away and hides) although it is pretty easy to type while in the wrong comms setting. Maybe a few extra key binds might be useful in a patch. ...and yeah, occasionally I have hit "T" and "Y" when t...

Sensibility suggests this should have been posted to the troubleshooting forum, but yeah, the following usually does prove true... Do not trust anyone who rants about something with only 1 post. Odds are they won't bother replying. Should Tutorial_starting feel the need to find out why his defcon do...

I pre-ordered mine since they`re about the only coders left who can make a truly original, lasting appeal game and get it out to the public en-masse without (so far... hopefully the digital distribution thing works out) selling out to the big boys. They`ve got some lovely touches (those 8-bit intros...

I don`t like seeing any of that crap given out to players in any game I host. I`m as white as plain bread, but I do have several black friends. I call them whatever generically racist term I can think of, and I get called the exact opposite from them all the time. We can do that as life is far too s...

I haven`t tried editing the sounds file yet as I haven`t found anything nasty in it. (I`m 32 and a musician, so my ears are probably dead ) I have replaced many of the gfx tho, and the way the game is set up, usually you won`t need to alter the .dat itself. you can just create a folder in the ...

It`s true thx1138, It may look a simple game, but it isn`t really. While your machine will run office apps, and some games really well, Defcon does require a fair amount of power to run. On my girlfriend`s machine - Athlon 2400+XP (about 1.8Ghz), 1.5G mem, GeForce 5200 Ultra OC (256M mem), it runs u...

Agreed, the level of support is a joke. The game is hopelessly bugged out of the box for many users and not even the promise of a patch to sustain us. There will be a patch. There will probably be multiple patches. xander Samuelson, Sorry you`ve not got the response you wanted, but the guys at intr...

How come every time the counter hits Defcon 3 everyone else`s navy starts shooting at me? I`m usually still picking my nose, or scratching my arse while waiting to launch my nukes. Cheatorzzzzzzz.

Can`t think of anywhere better but here in the house right now... Girfriend has borrowed the work`s projector and I now have a huge-ass wargames style display on the wall for the weekend. :D

Sweet.
