To be fair a lot of us were in Group D of beta testers so we could only add our names late. And I contributed a bit, we weren't all freeloading!

Ah well.

Tom and Vicky Arundel used to be my (almost) next door neighbours a long time ago. Interested to see what they'd actually made, picked up a copy of Uplink at HMV and have been following IV ever since. :D

Re: World Realism Mod

and there are five which are nuclear powers but not official: 1- India 2- Pakistan 3- North Korea 4- Israel 5- Iran Iran? Iran is miles from getting any form of atomic weapon technology, yet alone a version that is weaponisable (if thats a word). North Korea has detonated a nuclear weapon, but in t...

Support for Windows Vista Games Explorer?

Windows Vista comes with some nice shiny additions, quite a cool one is the games explorer which shows you the box art for the games on your PC and some info about its system requirements, ESRB rating, etc. Sadly they don't seem to have a box art for Defcon yet on the system (I presume it works in t...

Defcon doesn't play in fullscreen anymore

Ater I installed the patch yesterday I noticed that the game doesn't go into true fullscreen anymore. It's not a disaster but it looks ugly and means that the bottom of the screen gets cut off.

Just wondering if anyone knows a solution to this.

Great mod idea!

Maybe you could actually do it in the style of the YTMND wars fad, with Ebaumsworld, Myspace, 4chan and stuff as the other factions?

To be honest, Britain is close enough to Europe for it to easily be defended. Its usually one of the safer cities as it is far from Russia, Asia and Africa. Only America can touch it, and then only in the late stages of the game.

I'd say another disadvantage with Asia is just how vulnerable India is, most people place one or no silos on the subcontinent and how the Middle Eastern cities are far from the rest of the Asian cities making them hard to defend.

Well I find those to be disadvantages, maybe I'm just rubbish.
