Re: A more 'simmy' sort of game?
Call me morbid (I'm on the DEFCON forum, what the hell am I worried about that for?), but I was always a big fan of the old - very old - 'Bravo Romeo Delta'. Dunno if anyone remembers that? Yep, and you can still download and play it. I'm like you, I want somthing that is more a nuke war 'sim'. How...

How did you make this...? Did you first scan other files or hand draw it? I only ask because I'm trying to find a good map that is just concentrating on the polar projection, and not worrying about latin America and Africa. I only play this at most with 4 people, so wanted to try and maximise the ga...

If people like it as it is, why do they post here? It seems that they are not content with playing the game as they like, but they feel they must compell everyone else to play it their way... sort of like religious fantatics. I think it's a shame that the guys here who would like to see it er on the...

Thank you, hellcatv, for this great mod. Nice work. I enjoyed this mod today and thought, that polar view allow me to expand my cold war mod. That's why, I desided to make mini-mod with 3 participants: OVD (Warshaw Pact - CCCP and East Europe + bases in Cuba and Vietnam), NATO (propper coutries (Fr...

I don't think more complexity would hurt the game... I like the idea, or at least, if you hit it you loose connection to the other players for a set period of time - until other links can be made. But it is important in the larger mulitplayer game - certainly a big disadvantage to have your national...

All US subs need to be off the coast of Asia... the PRC usually puts the silos in a line along the population centres - so you need your subs in place, so that the minute the PRC player reveals his silo locations, you can swamp them with SLBM. That said, unlike the AI, a shrewd human player will pro...
