It wouldnt prove it completely but there is almost always a green player or team left at the end of diplomacy.

Anyway it is default, it says so above the score board

SA
USSR
Africa
Europe
Asia
USA

Thats what i like, the top 3 are pretty defensible while not being too open to attack from multiple directions. SA is furthest away from every other continent, USSR can only be attacked by a navy from one side and Africa can hold out in the south quite easily.

Actually it does, different games can encourage or discourage different play styles. In defcon only 1 player is declared the winner and that is the player at the top of the score board. As such the game is encouraging you to fight tooth and nail for that premier position irrelevant of honour or loya...

The score does get rounded down, probably a fighter was destroyed over a city causing 0.1M deaths, so 199.9 is rounded to just 199...

Usually works quite well for me, i always put 50% of my carriers on bomber mode circling these around the enemy navy usually does a lot of damage. I find one of the most important aspects of the combat is getting all the battleships into combat and not hanging back doing nothing. Sometimes i will ac...

If you didnt get hit you were lucky. Try that against anyone who has subs or bombers anywhere near you and your likely to have massive casualties and most likely lose your defense grid.

Yes if you keep them separate but still move them together they keep all the pros but lose the cons.

I agree completely, the real factor that makes this game great in my opinion is the human psychology and diplomacy aspect.

Graph of Casualties

I dont know about you guys but i think we need a more visual set of results at the end. What i would like to see is a graph of total population which could be activated by simply clicking a button on the existing scores window. It would work very similar to AoE2's graph system so that at any point a...

In my opinion anyone who thinks russia-europe actually have an advantage are not looking at all the factors. First off all their silos are in one location and very centralised, while this does allow them to have greater defensive power over that area it also means their nuke attacks are highly predi...
