Mine works just fine with the demo version, but I want to buy it to support IV. Or maybe if my beta key still works, instead of buying a copy for myself like I intended, I will instead spend that money on getting my brother a gift copy so he can try it out. :)

Even if you feel this would negatively affect gameplay, it would still be awesome for after the game. See how many units you destroyed. If you have steam, there is a defcon group you can join. You can set up a voice chatroom before the game if you want to talk to your allies and enemies as you nuke them.

Assuming the flags had enough resolution, this could be a cool idea. I think there are better improvements for IV to spend time on, but if they decided to throw this in without a lot of delay in other areas, I would love it.

It's supposed to. I imagine the mock-worried tone of the post didn't come through right. Units are currently colored by their team color, so if flags stood in for colors, the units might look ridiculous. It's a joke.

I'll play about anywhere, though I like the dedcon servers because you can deal with nuisances in various ways, and they fix a big problem we were complaining about in the past, the host leaving and ruining the game for everyone. Now if the person who joined first gets upset and bails, the game goes...
