I only launch my silos at the very start of game, not really popular with fellow players, but hey, that's the game. This way, hopefully, no subs have made it close to your borders yet and nobody really expects this. Or At the end of the game when the countdown timer is running. If your lucky, all su...

New naval tactic that works really well.

Recently I've been grouping 3 Battleships with 3 Subs. It's been working really well for me. First take out the enemy Battleships then launch bombers and take out Carriers as your Battleships take down enemy fighters. Pros: Subs make quick work of battleships. Battleships protect Subs from Bombers i...

I just noticed that if you play a game with the Defection option off, meaning alliances are locked, you can launch at your ally and they can't do a thing about it.

Save for launch back at you that is.

I was just about to post about this when I saw your topic. It really bugs me as well. How about a hot key like B or something that you hold down when you click on an airbase and it launches the empty bombers? I wouldn't want shift cause if you hold shift while cilcking on a group of ships it puts al...

I have rejoined about 3 times. Each time I finally do get back, I find that the CPU has gone all Col. Mandrake on me, and is launching my nukes in an uncoordinated attempt to gain a few points.

Great pic, btw.

Re: When Allys Attack

People who drop simply because they are at some risk of losing are the type of people this game does not need. "Pussy" was the politest possible response. For all we know, this was the only time he's ever dropped. Let's not judge too quickly. wwarnick GlassthatRock, your comments are not ...

Instead of making a whole new thread, I though I wold just post here.

I want a friends list! I wanna keep track of people that I have good games with. I seem to see the same people over and over again anyway. I want to be able to see if any of them are online and which servers they are in.

Re: When Allys Attack

Are you sure that, even though you had turned the ceasefire off, your units were not attacking his? If this was happening, then it was a bug, and, as you say, an exploit, though I doubt he know about it. Do your units always fail to target allies when you end your ceasefire? This is something that,...

To me, the exploit is that my units wouldn't target his units. And not that I didn't want to leave the alliance.

This was the first game I ever left before it was over. I have been bomber swarmed at the start, it's no fun, but it doesn't mean the game is over.

Re: When Allys Attack

Why is it lame to drop if somebody is using an exploit? It's not that I was targeted while still in an alliance, I've done that before too. It's that I couldn't fight back, my units wouldn't attack his. I saw it coming (even before the game started) then when I saw his bombers coming at me I tried t...

It's a lot of work, but if you keep your bombers in constant patrol, like they did back during the cold war, you can take out subs before they fire thier 2nd missle, and sometimes before they fire thier first.

You also have bombers in the air, if your enemy opens his silos, good by cities.

I have seen a few people use this same tactic.

All of a sudden the screen just fills with bombers, and you see em heading towards you enemy.

Russia and Africa can devestate Europe that way, and you don't even have to be on the same team. But it helps.

I thought about leaving, but I don't think you can join a CPU to team up. I think they always vote to abstain, which was the problem in the first place.

I didn't want to have to fight N. America (CPU) and Africa (my so called "ally") when I was S. America.

When Allys Attack

So I was in a 3 person alliance. One guy dropped so the CPU took over. Later in the game I see my ally, the human one, launch his bombers at me and subs surface near me. I try to kick him from the alliance but the CPU abstains so I can't. I unchecked the neutral box, but my units sitll would not eng...
