I discovered that last night. Very frustrating to have placed a flame turrent to defend my spawn point and then find that the evilwinians just walk straight through :-(

I'm not sure if this has been said or not but (with my FX 5900XT)... The slow down affects the main menu, the game menu, the credits menu, the level menu, the advanced level settings menu, and the authentication menu. It does not affect the Help and options menu, screen options, graphics options, so...

You might prefer to use space rather than enter, although having experimented it really isn't that obtrusive to keep enter as both this and chat for the lobby. Obviously though, taking the 5 minutes to check, another good reason to use space is that it won't crash the game out when selecting a sing...

I added some extra controls to restore the menu to being functional with the keyboard cursor keys: MenuLeft = key left down MenuRight = key right down MenuUp = key up down MenuDown = key down down MenuLeft = key left repeat MenuRight = key right repeat MenuUp = key up repeat MenuDown = key down repe...

It was deliberate, for it conflicted with the lobby chat (enter as confirm selection, and focus on chat). However, you cn edit it back in yourself. See the thread in the Windows Troubleshooting forum. So... it was deliberate and it's not in the full changelog... that doesn't sound quite so... um......

Unintentional 'feature'

Hiya, On the list I see no mention of the keyboard being disabled in the menu screens. On the main menus you used to be able to use the cursors and return to select things. You can't any more. This is REALLY annoying on the menus as they run at ~2fps on my machine (existing problem which has already...

Did you send a report it with the crash reporter? Um, I believe I pressed the 'Send report' on the grounds that just maybe IV had sorted out feedback of reports, but I can't be certain. Update your video driver? Else, perhaps a corrupted installation, try reinstalling? It worked fine previously and...

Fatal error: Assertion in bitmap.cpp

Hiya,

Nice easy one to describe; I ran the Multiwinia application from the desktop and the 'Autopatcher' popped up as normal, and after a moment or two a Fatal Error box appeared:

Assertion failed : 'result == 0'

../../contrib/systemIV/lib/resource/bitmap.cpp line number 754.

Futurewinians!

Gerph: What happened ? Officer: They wiped us out. Hundreds dead-maybe thousands. Gerph: The virus ? Officer: The Futurewinians! They were inside the floating body of a machine they'd made - a massive metal saucer with beams. Gerph: Beams ? Officer: Sucking beams. Picking up men and sucking them int...

On telly?

Hiya, So, I was walking out of the office tonight and we've got a big telly in reception. It's tuned to one of the news channels. And tonight; around 7:30, it was tuned to Sky News. And as I turned to walk out of the door I see, with the caption 'Five Minutes To Midnight' a wireframe map. And ships....

Even still, I'd have thought that since those populations weren't changing it wouldn't re-target. Seems very bad - obviously makes those subs an easy target if they're just sitting surfaced for 80 minutes or so.

Strange AI behaviour (1.4 PC)

Hiya, I was just spectating a game with 1.4 PC and noticed some very strange behaviour from one of the CPU players. Ceige has a group of 6 subs in the sea off africa. It has a number of cities targetted by these subs. But it never launches. By keeping the mouse floating over one of the subs, it's cl...

More likely they're changing the network protocol to stop a very obvious way of cheating.
