I made red get the Sukhoi and the other colors get the export JSF variant It actually works pretty well--trying to stuff 3 fighters into a single icon has proven to be a bit distasteful, but just having 2 is actually pretty good here are some screenshots http://graphics.stanford.edu/~danielrh/dualsh...

Well your score really should be "longterm" deaths anyway---the game should simulate out into the future and see how many deaths you caused in the next few weeks... but realism aside...I really wish they included it for *gameplay* reasons alone... having it as an option would have added an...

I totally understand where phishy is coming from. I develop a game myself--and therefore run a forum--we always get the same questions and complaints-- but the way you folks treat newbies _here_ is a disgrace, really. can't you use the dedcon server to place silos then essentially save a game--have the CPu take over....
I remember reading an article where bert did that successfully to test AA fire

found a copy of 1.0 and spent the last half hour testing---seems like the same bug existed back then--but when I played I couldn't view the orders (didn't know how yet) and I guess I just assumed it was doing a better job even though it was worse (!)

Maybe I stopped because it stopped working rather than this impression that I got lazy...will try an older version one day (unfortunately no older version on linux...so I'll need to dig up an old win box)

Wow then I must have had a huge observation bias...back then I felt like I played so much better than these days--and I also felt like my micromanaging of silos was a very large part of victory--- Do you think it's possible this changed for any of the versions? or that the silos are actually firing ...

One idea I have about why at 20x speed things seem to go worse is that at 1x or 5x speed you have time to micromanage your silos... sometimes it's better to spread out your silo defenses... imagine the first nuke from the atlantic is aimed at SF...the second one is aimed at NY... the way the defcon ...

nice, psychic---I had the default polar mod worldscale at 1.5 but turning it up does make life interesting :-)
I just wanted the default # silos in my world when I made the mod...but take a screenshot of it next time you do

I ran the polar projection code on the standard defcon map to get the results... you could probably crop the map at the right aspect ratio and resize it to be the bigger map you wish to play on :-) as for sailing where you shouldn't be able to...I suspect this is all related to the 1.43 fiasco about...

I managed to uninstall explorer unintentionally.. I installed windows XP..then went through the update process to IE7.... it asked me if I agreed to the IE7 license.. I decided to click 'no' cus I wanted to get on with my work and not reboot... it rebooted me...and when I logged in...the XP login sc...
