The way I look at it, the micromanagement itself is a good thing because it allows finer control and can separate the good players from the bad (whether a player can pick good targets, know where their priorities should be, etc.). However , the question needs to be about what tools are available for...

Yes, it would be cool but there are possible problems, which I tried to point out in another thread: http://forums.introversion.co.uk/defcon/viewtopic.php?t=2212 A "point of no return" line would be cool, but think about it for a second. If you launch it from an airbase, the plane can stil...

I've always liked the idea of waypoints. If it does take away some micromanagement, I think it's justified by the fact that it then gives us more time to focus on the metagame. There are too many people who are busy micromanaging and don't spend the time to discuss with allies, or try to make new al...

True, but +1% to hit would be totally worthless anyway (okay, 99% worthless  ).

There's nothing wrong with your general notion, GeneFreak. It would be cool to see how such a system would work out in the context of Defcon but I don't see it happening in any official release (mod anyone?).

Not to mention the inevitable score hacking. Now that I think about it however, It might be interesting to have titles that are unrelated to your scores. It could be based on each persons style of play instead of whether they're winning or losing. It sounds cool, but I suppose people would have a pr...

I dunno, bombers have fantastic fuel range anyway and it seems like they should be slow to turn. I never seem to have fuel problems even on long bombing runs.

Fighters however could definitely turn faster considering their tiny fuel range. They should be quite maneuverable, no?

The mechanic is fine -- it works in a very predictable manner. If it were unpredictable, then there would be a problem. However, it is predictable -- it works the same way ever single time. Actually, it's the lack of predictability that annoys me. If I'm shooting a long range nuke, I don't know exa...

It might be nice if shift clicking while launching fighters or bombers would set them all to launch. It wouldn't do much gameplay wise but it would feel smoother than rapidly clicking your mouse 5 times. Currently I just pound the mouse clicker when I want to scramble them all. More useful (to me a...

^^^^^^ Oooh, I like that name: Hidden Agenda Also, Kuth, get your FACTS straight (imagine stephen colbert saying it and it's funny). No, but seriously, you aren't the only one who feels strongly for or against ideas about Defcon. Stop acting like you are the sole arbiter of wisdom on this forum.

What use would it be to give you "low" or "high" odds indicators of a fighter attacking a bomber, when you have to have the fighter selected and hover the cursor over the bomber to see the odds in the first place. There is no making of the sense in this. These are the odds that a...
