As topic title suggests. Currently a leaving player means the game goes ahead with 1 less player.

I was just thinking a simpler (hopefully) and more elegant solution to an element of the fuel range concerns could be to factor in the fuel expenditure of turning into the range of the fuel-range circle. For instance, the point furthest behind a given fighter (i.e. opposite the direction of travel) ...

Distinguish leavers from d/cs. Have metered tournament games that register disconnects - if you have a shoddy connection don't play these games.

At the very least a little red countdown above the "x in flight" saying when the next nuke will hit and what would be nice would be an overlay for all your nukes with a little number indicating time til hit.

Yes but that's the same as other games. At least the difference is there and you can always decide your own views on disconnects. Take Warcraft 3 - people still leave rather than d/c from a convenience factor.

Invite -> Vote Occurs. I think an absolute necessity is for Abstain to count as Abstain not as "No", especially given the diplomatically impaired AI. That is, if 1 player votes yes and 2 abstain and the timer reaches 0 the vote is passed. Still perhaps the invite option might work badly.
