I agree that a new Command HQ would be truly great - it is one of my favorite games of all time. However, I believe it requires an entirely new game from Introversion to do it justice, not just a mod or a patch. If the IV people want a tip regarding their next project (not likely though :P), this wo...

Two points:

- The request is for an option, not for making anything madatory.

- If the this kind (sneak attack) of gameplay is intended to be the non-optional bread and butter of the game , that makes me wonder why the collateral penalty exists at all?

Hitting allied silos / Break alliance on launch option

It would be nice to be able to play games where launching against allies means your alliance breaks when the first nukes hit the air. This would cut down on the flavor of deceit where you first wipe out someone's entire defence grid (Silos, radars, air bases) while still allied to him (perhaps when h...

Well, the whole tagline "The world's first Genocide-'em-up" sort of gives the game away.

In other words, there is no collateral damage for hitting silos/radars/airfields? And my idea could still be useful? :)

Erm, is there really collateral damage in the game for hitting allied Radars/Silos? Didn't notice that. Can't be a very harsh penalty in that case.

I would launch 4 at a single exposed silo. If I want to make really sure, I take out the radar too. (5 total) Taking out the radar might be nice in it's own right too if the player have more units further off.

1: Duplicate threads are not the end of the world. Indeed, when it comes to issues such as this one, they might even help get the message through sooner. ;) ( With regards to patching priorities). 2: Also desperately needed - the ability to enter password protected games via direct IP connect. 3: Ac...

Not to spoil your reading experience or anything, but DEFCON should be pushing a metacritic score of 80+ very soon ;)
