I think I saw a (bad) review of Darwinia in the German magazine GameStar and just did what I usually do: Ignore the critics and still buy the game from my favourite retailer. After I got hooked I also got Uplink directly from IV and the rest is history .

For people unable to install this patch over Uplink 1.47 from the online store, redownload Uplink from that very online store, it will be Uplink 1.48 and compatible with further updates. Yeah, I thought, that something like that will fix the whole problem :). Thanks for the help. And of course than...

just spoke with a friend who bought Uplink today (1.47Download too) -> has the same problem with the patch.

at the moment I only have 1.47Download (don't know which version will be in the box I get). And I can't find an active mirror for the 1.47 patch.

this is VERY strange...

pre-ordered through IV yesterday (and finally bought Uplink while at it) and convinced a friend to do the same (he did it a few minutes ago)

So what can I do? I just tried installing Uplink fresh in the default directory and then applying the patch...still same problem -> install button stays inactive...

Is there a way to extract the files out of the installer manually? After all the only thing it does, is extract some files...

Just downloaded the file again and tried again. The "install"-button just never gets active. And if I try to search the directory where I put the game (H:\Uplink), the OK-Button never get's clickable.

Bought Uplink yesterday (better late than never :) ) and got a link to version 1.47Download Is it impossible to this new patch on this version? Because when I try to install it, even if it points to the directory Uplink is in, the "install"-button doesn't get active. Thanks for the help.
