MS I thought your comparison to chess was quite valid. I roamed worrying about the half life of defcon, but the effort of madseven and ripped cap at defconmatch have shown me the keenness that is out there. Join or create a league, a, nd keep in the mainstream. This is the first PC game I have 'purc...

More dosh more servers

Much as I love/detest this game, Iwould have preferred to have contributed more to the server farm than I probably did. No access and pick AI is not my dream.

careful about other allies - if u r nuking usa from russia, europe gets to think u r bombing them and your missiles get shot at.

geography plays a big part in where u stick the knife in.

maybe the answer is a player card - try to go for a handicap.

Dropouts lose ratings, players can get ratings dependent on game type (keeping cool in diplomacy etc)

It seems to work on Xbox live (crosses self rapidly).

If things can go wrong, they will. Working in the school environment is definitely the 'real world' and users can be a reral unknown.

Your faith in people slowly grows and this happens.

This often leads to a hardline approach and stuff like FORTRES gets invented and people hack round it.

Office hours are a main reason for long games - real distance between players and chance to think about things between caffeine jags and the chance to play office politics on a different level.

But there's nothing wrong with a quickie now and again.
