Mind your language! It's offensive and inappropriate.

Thanks for all the comments guys. They seem to have come in two camps: those who can handle defcon and all it brings, and others who are kids and throw their dummy out of the pram because the guy playing Europe or North america would rather win the game than spend it acting as a continental shield ...

Just as acceptable as all the other name-calling going on in this thread, no??? My three year old says "But she hit me first!" too. Grow up. There's no excuse for such language, especially from somebody such as yourself who's married and has a child. But don't listen to me: ask your wife ...

As I said above, my big complaint was that this guy nuked me right at the beginning of the game. It was a pussy and cowardly move and NO AMOUNT of "It's all part of the game" will change that fact.. Also, the pussy who did it ended up in 3rd or 4th, so it wasn't as if it was a "brill...

:D I'll put it in the venacular of CT ops. (Counter Terrorist Operations) It's the difference between happily blowing the head off a terrorist or turning on a fellow team member and blowing his or her head off.. Now, if you can't understand the difference there, then you are lost. SODsniper This ga...

Unfortunately, my copy arrived all smashed up: the case was bent and doesn't close properly, and the CD doesn't even snap into the case anymore. With the condition the box arrived in, I'm amazed that the CD wasn't snapped in two. Very disappointing.

Re: The Bering Strait IS passable

Try it yourself! READ THIS OR STFU: This is only possible with a one ship fleet. It is very hard to get it correct. Practice in single player while the Meta-server's down. EDIT: No, none of these images where "photo-shopped". (...to stop flaming) Wow, somebody's paranoid. Forget your tin ...

Well, missile arcs in the southern hemisphere aren't exactly fair... if I'm launching nukes from Lima to Johannesburg, there's no way in the world they should get intercepted by Europe.

I'm in South Korea at the moment, having arrived here at the end of August to teach English. The Korean language press is going absolutely nuts, wall-to-wall coverage on the NK situation. A lot of ex-pats here are getting nervous too, as nobody wants to be around if KWII breaks out. I'm in Daegu, wh...

Just finished a game that had atrocious connexion issues, but essentially half-way through the game there were only three human players left. I tried to convince one of them to kick the other guy out, so he agrees but because of "technical issues" he seemingly can't vote to kick the guy ou...

CaptObvious, are you running Vista on an iMac? Just curious, as your setup looks very, very close to how an iMac looks, and there might be problems with running Vista on such a computer.

Paranoia is fun & gets my vote as a "Must have" official game mode. Zion, not so fun: I've played three Zion games and everybody ended up at zero. Tried one Dual Zion game (two cities instead of one) and, once again, everybody ended up at zero. Is there a variant that would allow someb...
