My best was then I had bombers over my allies territory and then left the alliance and blew the crap out of him. His defense didn't have enough time as I was right over target citys.

I had a look around the forum and found how to disable one core using task manager but that still didn't work! Do I need to disable core on more than darwinia exe?

Don't worry, it's not unique, mine seems to do exactly the same thing (Except I get no Black box unfortunatly) but I only had the patients to make it to the third level.
