Re: Inmates not being punished

So I got the game and it worked fine for a while I now have 70 prisoners. The prisoners are starting to misbehave and destroy things. When they destroy things all that happens is a guard comes and tazes them then leaves. Nothing else happens. I put in policy they get solitary for 6 hours yet all th...

Re: [suggestion] Prisoners pee before leaving cell

This. It's annoying. In the morning, immediately after everyone wakes up, I hear a bunch of aaah's, and I look in my cell block, and there are pee stains on the floor when the toilet in their cell is RIGHT NEXT to them. I set shower time as the first thing in the schedule, and even build toilet sta...

Re: You're all idiots

69 days in, 21 prisoners have finished the Foundation Education Program, not one of them has passed. Something up with the percentage chance to pass or are the prisoner purposely thick? A useful trick is to hover your mouse over the participants in a training and see what they're feeling like. Do t...

Re: Regimes: what works for you?

I wonder how that "lock up all night instead of sleep regime" method effects the prisoners' stats. Like, does it increase the "amount of time spent locked up" stat? Or does the "sleep" regime do that, too? And does having lockup all night instead of sleep allow them to...

Re: [Suggestion] Let the failed prisoner re-roll the course

Drug and Alcohol addiction could be fix if they implement the priority code. So both of those will go to therapy course first if it available. For now, i tend not to start the course until my prison is half-full or full capacity. Those new comer are like 95% chance that will not going to pass the c...

Re: (Suggestion) First day in prison - Special schedule

there is a way to do this...zone your holding cell as normal (or whatever type of prisoner you want to accept...zone your cellblocks a security level higher...prisoners will stay in holding untill you change their security type That's a great idea! Do you keep them in there for an entire day? I'm p...

Re: Regimes: what works for you?

I use this regime: http://i.imgur.com/ekPMEXx.png Prisoner wake up by themselves at 8 and then shower/pee/poop/watch tv/call family inside their cells, while the guards tend to new arrivals. If a prisoner feels like a second shower during the day (those that work seem to do so) they'll pop back to t...

Re: [Suggestion] Morning bell

While I support your suggestion, strictly speaking the game already has a morning bell, it just happens to be fixed at 8 AM. Personally I leave prisoners in lockup till 10 AM anyway, with showers and phones inside their cells so they can take care of most of their needs before breakfast.Added benefi...

Re: [Suggestion] Finding tunnels

I dont think I've ever had to run a shakedown, or use the CI's. I've found - in conjunction with metal detectors at the cell block and a perimeter that cant be thrown over - the only other thing you need to do is search everything that comes into the prison. Never had an escape (or even an attempt)...

Re: Workshop and tunnel

So I revised my strategy concerning the workshop course problem. Aaaand nothing have changed. :D The interesting fact is the other courses are somewhat successful. Just for the example: - Kitchen Safety and Hygiene: 109 finished ,61 passed (55%) - Foundation and Education Program: 92 finish and 39 ...

Re: Prisons can still be run over night.

While we're on the subject of how to use armed guards, I wonder if you guys might have an answer to the following: Initially I kind of assumed armed guards' suppression effect would be based on line of sight. Prisoner sees badass dude with shotgun -> prisoner gets scared > prisoners fails to memoriz...

Re: Prisons can still be run over night.

Not sure I'd agree that "only" 2 deaths is acceptable, but well done nevertheless on getting it to run so smooth. I'm amazed the supermaxers didn't tear the place apart, were there no fearless legendaries among them? I can handle a couple hundred mediums, but bring in a single batch of 20 ...

Re: [Suggestion] Showers in Cells

I've grown quite fond of this layout: http://i.imgur.com/3KhJhzC.png The extra time added to shakedowns doesn't really matter since I only bother with contraband in cells for the grants, after that it doesn't really matter all that much. Most of it gets intercepted en route, the rest gets found in d...

Re: [Suggestion] Multiple security levels for one zone (room

I like the idea of controlling more than just inmates through the various security levels of the regime. Adjusting patrols and such would be nice too. I'd honestly pay good money for the ability to restrict my workmen to the main pathways, instead of having to watch them trip over every table in th...

Re: Snitches and legendarys

I would advise against doing directly from Eat to Sleep (which happens at 10pm for Lockup, Sleep or FreeTime), because some prisoners seem to want to change clothes and do certain other things just Before going to bed. And I guess no exercise machine or chair on cell? Your "Exercise" need...
