Re: Griefers List

Finally, the game should allow servers to ban IPs or Steam IDs or what have you - it's your server after all. They do, or at least for a while. I stupidity admitted while waiting in a server lobby that I was somewhat of a serial disconnecter, so the host says "thanks for telling us, bye" ...

I know your post wasn't meant to be taken seriously but frankly, why bother with such futile attempts to assume complete control of the host's computer when you could just pass the task of hosting onto a different player. Hence the dry humor. FFS it's a Monday and it's lunchtime here, I gotta kill ...

Prevent servers from premature shutdown

I'd like to suggest that the next DEFCON patch include measures to prevent the shutdown of servers, so that if the host is losing so badly he wants to terminate the game for all of us, he cannot do so any longer. Such measures could include: - code to remove the shutdown functionality of the server ...

Re: People who have reasons to love / hate DEFCON

People who may love Defcon
- Me, when I win

People who'll hate it
- Me, when I lose.

Let's see... I've "respectfully-backstabbed" once (i.e. left allience first, then quickly launched nukes against my prior comrads). That turned out to be absolutely disasterous for me. I do not see many more backstabs of my own doing happening in the near future. I've disconnected du...

Yes, I have a rage quitting problem.

I hate demo players! Ahhh!

Well ok, I don't actually hate demo players as such. What I do hate is being beaten by them, severely. I know it's somewhat irrational, but for some reason the idea that a guy who's actually paid for the game (ie. me) is getting his ass kicked by someone who hasn't shown the dedication to purchase a...

It's not something you think about much (or at least we hope), hence the emotion. I'm sorry, I'm sorry... let me rephrase: "I think it's hilarious how insulated some people who don't live under rocks can become, to the point of being terrified by anything that represents a fairly accurate mode...

I was a spectator in a match last night, where the majority of the game went for nearly 2 hrs due to an almost continuous real-time. There were two players, with one player (green) getting frustrated with the other (red) for always sticking to real-time when he wanted 5x. In the end the green player...

You don't. The key is generated automatically once you first run the game. It's bound to a unique ID of your Steam account.
