Bah. The only thing interesting about this show is Hawkins. And even then it's more like "Judging Amy" with a few mushroom clouds as backdrop. This one's been a disappointment.

I was in the hector mine quake in California (6.1) and the Nisqually quake in Seattle (6.9). Honestly, I think the Californian quake was stronger feeling, but the Seattle one lasted longer. "Canticle for Lebowitz" is good. It's also a fairly decent portrayal of Cistercian/Trappist monks, given the fact that it's sci-fi. The sequel is pretty horrible, though.
