AFAIK, software should always be installed as root for security. What are the names of the groups / users corresponding to the UIDs/GIDs you listed for your system.

You may not want to directly connect to that person's voicemail. I'm not a dev, but I've heard rumors that that leaves a log just like a computer hack attempt. Always bounce the call and delete the 'routed to' logs at InterNIC.
