Ah ok. So it was from Trash80.

I was thinking about checking out their site based on the ending credits but decided the band was more Punkish sounding (from the name) so didn't bother.

The intro never ended with a 'press H' thing.

F5 = grenades
F6 = rockets
F7 = Airstrike

Not sure what F8 is, or if it does anything.

Music in one of the intros...

What's the song in the intro where it does "perception, intuition, extroversion, introversion" and has all the green souls floating upwards?

It's obviously done on piano but is it downloadable? An original piece? Or a cover of an already existant piece?

Don't see why it couldn't happen. As stated in the Demo the Darwinians wanted to go to other computer systems. It'd be very easy to do something with that. Start in the Yard, build a space shuttle (like the one in the demo) and head off. Then you arrive in another computer and have to do..something....

Note that sometimes the armor develops a mind of its own and travels off away from where you told it to go.

Also sometimes it's very hard to get the armor to deploy at the flag you set. It'll go there and just sit. May take a few times to get it right.

Ya know...something tells me that the 'blue and yellow and white line' thing wasn't a bug but intentional... Considering I've seen three different introductions, and knowledge I've gained about the team liking to do random crap...something tells me had I just hit the Esc key I would have been alrigh...

Hurray. I can now go back to pulling an all nighter...

And I know how Valve forgot to put in the files, but I've already ragged on them enough in my few posts so I'll just say that they're forgetful.

Never had a C64.

But now that you mention it, yes. Yes it did bring back not so fond memories of Atari.

Impressive. It does automatically save. In fact, it put me right back where I was before I had fired the rocket. Not many games do that (or can do that). Here's a picture of the bug. I replicated it (quite easily). http://www.boomspeed.com/nubi/temp.JPG I may just be missing a sound file (I can't ch...

Game crashed when I fired a rocket...

So I finally got my Steam order working after a bit of talking with some customer support (they actually have it, I know, I was surprised too). And was playing darwinia. Loving it. Got rocket upgrade. Went "woot!". Fired a rocket. Game crashed. Said I was missing the file Boom1 or something like tha...

Well I found said demo and played it and now want to finish the rest of the game. I thought it'd be easy at first, and it was, but not to the degree of easy I thought it would be. The four squad limit was harsh. Between needing two engineers to collect souls, a squad to lead the officers into battle...

Ah of course. Why didn't I think about that.

That's pretty stupid that Valve requested it be removed here. Just another reason I don't like Steam. They seem to want to take over with it.

Maybe I"m just a neo-hippy.

Is Steam the only way to get the Windows demo too?

They haven't released it yet and, knowing Steam, probably won't.

There a way to buy a Windows copy...

Without going through Steam? Steam has declined my credit card many times now, saying that my address I provided doesn't match the one that my credit card company has given. I tried a number of different ways of presenting my address and none worked, it has now locked me out of buying Darwinia throu...
