English translation :-)

Sorry, didn't know where to post this, so let it be here. Maybe you should check the English.txt file. That's what I've found: Line #46 help_officer_create_2_icons Click on a Darwinian to promote him to an Officer. Or press C to terminate the Officer program. [KEYICONSTASKMANAGERENDTASK] should be t...

Damn, it's easier to redraw the BMP once and write the text as usual than to use some weird characters just to have the text look as it should.

I've looked into standard Windows' Character Table. Try #233. It's in the row before the last, at the column with ")". This time it should work :D Yes, I had a hard time too finding one of the Russian symbols. I used different types of lines filling empty space in BMP. How did you colorized blank ch...

AFAIK, the character table in BMP doesn't begin from character #0. So, é isn't #98. Maybe #130. When you need to type a character which is outside of the standard table, you hold [Alt] and type the code of the symbol. When I press [Alt]+98, I get "b". So I think "é" is 98+32=130. Try it. And maybe i...

I've tried it without those BMPs and it worked! So if they are missing, the game uses default fonts.

If you need to draw special characters that are not present in the current font files, then you need to know exact code of the needed character and draw it at the correct position. And if you didn't make any modifications to the fonts, it's not necessary to put then into the archive - the game will ...

I remember one more thing that can't be translated at current version: the counters below task in some missions. For example, at the Containment there's a task to collect certain amount of DG's under the tree, and there's a counter below task description. I didn't found corresponding strings in the ...

Steh, if you still don't have the full English.txt file, you can download that Russian translation - it's included there. But I really think you should complete the game at least once to get the understanding of the things and events.

Thanks for help, Xander.
The Russian translation is completed, located here.
It contains original English and Russian translation. If you need it - take it! :)
I didn't modify Editor strings, because in some cases Russian words are longer yet less informative for some reason. :D

Hi VMX! There are some of the translators at the MOD section of the forum. In search we trust! :-) You should complete a game once just to know what is Dr. S talking about, what terrible creatures are described, what happened to the world and lots of other stuff. You could make a proper translation ...

I've modified the bitmap last night - now it contains Cyrillic characters. It took a little more than an hour of drawing. It's really simple - the only difficulty is the absence of grid defining the area of every letter. BTW, there are two font bitmaps - I've modified only one (which name contains "...

No, trial WinRAR works exactly as registered one. The problem is elsewhere. But you don't need archiver to test your translation. Just extract Language.dat at the game folder and leave the files there. You can work on the extracted files and the game will read them at any time, without the need of c...
