I would say that you are already lucky it's working at all in opengl hardware acceleration (the driver provided with your video card). Try putting this opengl32.dll file in your Uplink directory, you will get software rendering at the price of much slower frame rate and higher CPU usage. P.S. Next ...

The processor load was reduced in this patch, I believe. This has caused a minor slowdown on my Turion 64 and not really affected processor load too much (the fan still kicks in).

But then again, it's a beta patch so what do you expect? :D

Dependent mapping Preserves port number Supports hairpin of media Public IP address: 81.99.8.XX I don't even know what kind of router I have, because I'm not allowed to administrate the home network. Needless to say, it's a damn sight more complex than most :P (I'm thinking we have about 2 wireless...

What about that music that was always 1st in the track rotation? That music wasn't included in the Bonus disc so what is that track? (I love it so much, but I can't do anything with the format in .uni)

I think that these days hardware can be so varied, even within similar product lines (hence the call for EXACT graphics card model information) so I'd hazard a guess that a public test is really needed for extensive feedback about system performance and bug-fixing. I've signed up, of course, but you...

It could be that you were given the mission by Arumor or ARC. If you are in the storyline they will not answer your emails.

Also, when replying, wait until the full email is visible (and has been shown) - if you don't then you send half a message and will get no reply.

Yep, I'm a big fan of IV's games, loved Uplink since it's release. I was a bit late onto the scene with Darwinia, but loved it nevertheless. :) With Defcon, I can't wait to play it - I am very eagerly anticipating this game :). We don't get enough independant games these days - I'm sick of all this ...

It's good to see IV innovating like this, I didn't know such a thing was possible on PhpBB. Interesting... I've got some websites that could use something like this. On the topic of Uplink and Darwinia members not getting along, it's a non-issue. Many people are in both communities, and also both ga...

Steam is problematic because it runs in the background for no reason , connects to the Internet every time you play the damn game , forces you to download every damn patch , and means that when steam goes down (which ultimatly it will) you won't be able to play the games ever again. I still play my...

It seems that Vista is giong to bring about a whole series of changes, not all of them very nice. Still, we should be thankful for small favours - it was initially going to be a lot more revolutionary! It seems that what we need from a new Windows is the next Windows 95, ie a true revolution that br...
