This gathering of developers for code crunching is a very similar idea to the Global Game Jam ( http://www.globalgamejam.org/ ), which I have attended for the last two years and am constantly trying to persuade more people to come to! 48hrs to design and make a game within constraints that you are g...

Missing PM?

Not sure if this is the right place for this but maybe Neo or someone else that knows what's going on will pick it up. I got an email this morning from the board stating that I have a new PM, however upon visiting I do not appear to have any PMs since 2008! Is my new PM missing, or has the board ema...

As Rkiver said... the absolute stress when you are 90% through a difficult hack which took a while to set up and you are racing the clock, hoping your mouse clicks don't go astray!

Best by far :)

Yes, you have grasped the essential concept. Instructions were, perhaps surprisingly, not something we had time to add during the 48hr coding period. I'll try and get around to adding them soon. Thanks for giving it a go anyway :) Edit: I added instructions and credits, so those menu options should ...

I attended, and had a great time. Apparently there has media coverage of the event (which I haven't seen myself). I produced http://www.daveirvine.me/downfall/ with the aid of an artist and musician. We had originally come up with an entirely different concept involving particle physics, but it was ...

Global Game Jam

Is anyone else planning to attend?

My PhD supervisor mentioned it might be a good idea for me to go, so I'm seeing what I can sort out last minute.

During the day, 2-3pm, I actually quite enjoy the Underground. I was lucky enough to work for a boss that was willing to let me take an extra hour lunchbreak as long as I worked it off later, to travel to Camden to get some shopping/piercings. As such, the 30minute journey from White City to Camden ...

Alas! Foiled!

Also, hope you are feeling better. Man points for it being caught from one of two girls. What a night that must have been!

Just bugged a game reviewer I know over MSN, although she only tends to review MMOs, maybe she knows someone that does other reviews. Also I persuaded someone at uni to try the demo, but I've yet to find out if he will buy it! Edit: Also been through my MSN list and advised everyone to try it. Out o...

Congrats on actually managing to capture evidence!

But yes, that was the problem I was having, a graphics driver update seems to have resolved the problem for the most part, even though there is still stuttering when an overlay pops up, the screen doesn't de-interlace any more.

I find it really handy on the assault map: Dog Green Sector. Take control of the turrets near the satellite dishes, and then you can blast the defending multiwinians out from under their turrets at the top of the hill, stops them from attacking you and frees up those turrets to capture!

I already moved back to Uni, so I won't be getting mine until my next train trip home... that is if Dad even bothers to pick it up from the post office (nobody is ever home when they try to deliver, they might as well not bother!)

I am very jealous :P

Enjoy the foamy goodness!
