I thought I recieved a email saying beta was over and to grab demo but there is no linux demo thus my curiosity..I had to reinstall ( my fault ) thus I lost the email. I went into the IRC channel and got nothing but smart mouthed behaviour so I'd be fareful about listing your IRC channel on the webs...

I am sooooo happy Windows PC user!!!! :lol: I am feeling with you, Linux/Mac users, really. :( But if you want, I can tell you even how good demo is :wink: await me in 3 days after I get from demo-coma :D :D :D ------- this just RUINS it for me and I may not buy either uplink or darwinia now...next...

Thanks for the very kind reply and yes that worked..i'm able to play it now and see if I like it...most likely I 'will buy it' and prob. darwinia too...

odd though that the game was unable to 'find' libglut in /usr/lib.any idea why not ?

No, that's a stupid 'solution'. This error seems familiar... do you have the glut libraries installed properly? There have been a couple of linux problems fixed with patches, these are usually distro specific, however, I don't think the patches will work on the demo. You'll have to ask someone with...

im a linux tester but for some reason all its allowing me to do is upload the sysinfo.txt file...no zip file or anything ever appears after I upload the file....( I'm going to: http://www.darwinia.co.uk/betatest/download.html )
