Hello again - anyone from 2002?

Hi I was on these forums a lot back in 2002, which I just realised is /ten years ago/. I just had the idea to see if they're still going - and it seems that they are. Is anyone else still here from that long ago? I'm also glad to see that my two graphics mods are still available on Modlink - I haven...

I just formatted my c drive to re install windows, and I needed to install my scanner drivers again. The scanner is a Relisis Scorpio Super 3 (read: the biggest piece of shit scanner ever. and it's about 4 years old). The drivers come on two floppies, so I run the setup program on disk 1, it install...

I'll do a surface scan, thanks for the advice I just realised, that the click noise sounds just like what happens when i shut down the computer. and I seem to remember a couple of months ago, i was doing something, then i heard this click, and the computer instantly reset itself. Not restarting, but...

My computer has started, fairly recently to make a dodgy clicking sound. It happens randomly, maybe two clicks then nothing for hours. It's like "click beep click beep", a mechanical click and a beep from the pc speaker, I think. It seems to be coming from the front of the computer, near t...

The cheat where you enter that as your username (the 'fast' way) used to work before v1.2. The other one about getting access to all the machines is interesting, I've never heard it before, but I don't think that would work. Look on the back of the box and convert the strange line into the first 3 l...

I played the demo when it was on the PC Gamer CD, played that for a month or so, then ordered the full game about February last year. Waited a day and a half until it arrived, then joined the forums.

There is no save game feature but you can backup the save file in the uplink'user directory. But where's the fun in that?

They are the bounce logs left on Internic. you should always use that as your first bounce in the bounce route.

Just connect to Internic and hack the admin password- there's no monitor so you won't get traced. Then view the logs, and delete the bounce log and the password accepted log.

Do you mean you want war3z the game, and not pay for it? If you do, then go away.

But if you want to just buy the download, then um, you can't. Just order it. Don't download it.

and why did you type the whole message in bold?

http://www.netfirms.com You get a cgi-bin and ssi, but there's big ads on every page. Portland.co.uk has no ads, and a cgi-bin, but I've never sucessfully got a script to run (Other than a print "hello" thingy) And prohosting (I forgot the url) has cgi, but the sign up form never accepts m...

Have you actually entered the system? Or did you just wait until the password box was filled up, and then d/c without entering the system?

Or maybe it's because the username/password were revoked.

Or something.

Pi$$ing abouot with school computers is fun... And the funny thing is that I almost certainly know more about computers than the so-called 'admins'. No shit. The net-nanny thing is crap. To get onto a website, all i need to do is open notepad, write an [a href=...] then save it as html and click it,...
