So has anyone played cave story on wiiware yet? This has recently inserted itself into my list of goals and I'm trying to work through for the next couple of weeks.

But... I don't own a wii... so it's going to be an interesting one!

I had to downgrade back to 1.42. However, even with Realtime FX and Hardware sound off which stoppped some of the crashing, It still frequently crashes making Pattern buffer very hard to complete. Ive resorted to periodically quitting the game and reloading just so my progress is saved before the n...

1.5+ savegames are stored in seperate places from 1.42-, and apparently it doesn't move existing saves to the new location during the patch installation. The 1.5+ version stores things in the saved games folder on vista/w7, and I think local directory on XP? Where as 1.42- stored them in the local d...

I think there's a very limited potential to the "design a fortress" idea. Call me a pessimist, but the failures in my experiences with player-created levels is that players have the insatiable appetite to stump one another and, therefore, will inevitably over-design a contrived, single-so...

Wow, that's uh, a lot of ideas. Or really, questions... or something o_o. I'm just interested to see how they mix procedural content and espionage based incursion - generally these are not things that go hand in hand. Also RE multiplayer, the Splinter Cell games attempted to make espionage friendly ...

It would just be another thing to work on for Darwinia and then get MS to OK, and I think IV want to be done with all that for now (They've been working on Darwinia for nearly 3 games in a row now...). Even given that most of the obvious reasons and requirements that would be placed on the mods are ...

As for the credits, I believe we were asked at some point to provide that information or consent to be placed in the credits. Indeed. as partof your beta signup you had to give your real name for use in the credits, and your nickname is whatever your forum name was/is. And RabidZombie guessed, the ...

Have fun all who're attending; those who're familiar with my previous 100% track record of release event attendance will be sad to learn that I am in away in America, and thus, will be unable to attend (Also hi Greeba). I'm kinda annoyed that for once apparently you're not going to have your release...

Welp, that was easy; 2 hour game completion time I guess is uh, average probably? Now I just need to complete the horrible horrible trophey achievement things. Excuse me while I probably don't do that.

The thing is though that I am currently thinking in dollars (because I am currently in america). I see 15 dollars for vvvvvv and think to myself, "wow, that's quite a bit, I enjoyed the demo a lot and I think it would be quite a lot of fun to play, but I'm worried about committing that much mon...

Now now, no being decietful! We all know that, as a mac whore, you find that anyone who develops primarily for windows, and now their satan box, the 360, is always at fault no matter what they do (even if they didn't do it), especially if they're not repenting! To be fair, though, I don't think what...

Sigh... yet another example of something that is different between versions. There is no crash on the Mac version. xander Well it's actually just another example of what's already on page 36 of this thread, where the bug was originally discovered and a fix suggested. I don't think this one in parti...

...well, crap. I found a friend with a similar system. I've attempted to replicate the problem, to no avail. This is because I can't even enter Rebellion. It crashes every time, at the exact moment Rebellion should first be entered. I've tried moving Darwinia outside 'Program Files', I've tried run...

my Darwinia-crash-sense suggests that a crash when capturing a control tower in a mod known to work (ie where the control tower is linked to something) is generally due to the game being unable to save a game.txt due to eg permissions, or possibly current research values being selected that make the...
