*wonders why IRCers seem to instantly recognise his Domo photo * *ahem* 'twas a fun weekend, good to catch up with those I'd met before, and to meet new people. (And to pay far too much for steak.) Glad I was able to stay for the Saturday too (thanks to Sara), even if going to see the 8:30 showing o...

The real question is, if it is its real name, and not all an ELABORATE HOAX, will Subversion be used to manage the source to Subversion? (I seem to remember hearing that it was with Darwinia. No idea if that was just me misremembering, or false information, or true.)

This appears to be a duplicate report of this topic, so I'd recommend posting/watching there.

Having studied the Defcon metaserver protocol previously, it has to ask you for your CD key - it has to authenticate before it can get a listing of servers.

I also have this, at 1600x1200. (I also had it in review-1, but there wasn't really anywhere to report it then).

Indeed it's not, which is why I didn't bother posting a dedicated topic; instead I noticed this one, which appears to be a similar error but in native Windows, pointed out that it (or something like it) can be reproduced consistently in wine, and posted some debug information. I am still waiting for...

Wikipedia sez "the Wine project aims to allow a PC running a Unix-like operating system and the X Window System to execute programs originally written for Microsoft Windows."

Hey, it looks like it's related to the wine crashing issue (which I thought could well be an actual Defcon bug which is just reliably exposed by wine), so I have some debug output from that in case it's relevant. The error given is: wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x00000001 at address ...

MAC addresses are only available before the first hop (i.e. in the local hubbed/switched network); they aren't sent any further.

w32codecs...doesn't compile at all. They're modified versions of the original Win32 DLLs, loaded with a cut down fork of wine, thus are tied to x86. Unless I'm misunderstanding something. I'm pretty certain ffmpeg has native WMA support, anyway.

There aren't even any wma codecs available for AMD64 linux (last time I looked). You're probably thinking WMV, and that's out of date info. I believe ffmpeg has supported WMA and early WMV natively for quite a while (though I could be wrong), and there's now native WMV3 support in ffmpeg thanks to ...
