Will there be diffs released against the developer CD source though? Yeah, when the patches are consider pretty final (which is not far from being the case) a Linux updated version will be release and the DevCD should also get updated. Yay! Now to see if Uplink compiles with GCC 4... well, later an...

Unless something serious has changed that I don't know about, no: each patch stands alone by itself.

Wow, it's been a while since I was last around. A brand-spanking-new Uplink patch? Oooh. Will there be diffs released against the developer CD source though? I'd like to try my hand at fixing the multiscreen system when I have some spare time this year, without breaking any of the new features/fixes...

Really? Can you give me examples of what shortcuts you'd like? It's not something I've ever really used or missed... If you think they'd be worth having though, I'll look at coding them though. I'll have to think about that in more detail but I'll get back to you on that :) As a related note, you m...

Uplink 2!!!oneone... just kidding. Actually, for boardies..

Er. Yeah. Sorry about that. Getting quirky in my old age. Either that or a cheap trick to get people to read the post. Anyway, on to what I meant to talk about: Wouldn't it be great to have keyboard shortcuts for things in Uplink? Coming from someone whose windowmanager (until recently) had little u...

Unfortunately (unless I'm wrong, of course), LANs vary between each user profile you create. So your Network Solutions LAN will very probably not be the same as mine. If I even have Network Solutions as a company. We'd probably need the savegame or a lot more info before we can help - if we can at a...

Hmmm... this project is really starting to sound like it's going somewhere. I'd be much more interested in it if it was converted to VB.NET before it's too late. Partly because VB.NET is still VB, to some degree. It also has much better support for objects. Also, from .NET 2005 you can mix and match...

Bleh - sorry. I'm used to the forums being lively, active places, where top threads represent the past ten minutes' talk! I guess I just have to get used to the slower pace of life now. :-(

Heh - then you've met the sort that the guys at Imperial dream of. I guess it's just a case of "the odds are good, but the goods are odd". Except in my case, of course ;) But then again, my significant other is an English student at Holloway, which has almost the opposite ratio...
