When enemy silos are launching missiles they can't shoot down incoming enemy nukes. So when the AI player goes for it and launches, your subs are free to strike. Lasertrout got it there. IRL with such limited defenses against Nuclear strikes is the only reason that full scale Nuclear war has not erupted yet. Not sure if anyone has said this yet, but the arcs are in game because of the fact that the shortest distance between two points on a sphere is not a straight line?
