Is it ever possible to nuke Brussels?

Just wondering, 'cause I live here... ;-)

Erm... Are you intending to be a lady? ;-)

Anyway. Is there a good way of getting subs up into the Arctic Ocean from Asia? Mine keep wanting to go right round Africa and up the Atlantic...

Actually, I think this lone player has figured out how to win at DEFCON.

Re: Dual core support?

Giving up on overklocking? I got a 10% gain, and it gives a 10% gain. So why should i give up on that? The overklock is working stable. Every core runs on 2,4 GHZ but on of those cores arent enough. Modifying software to take full advantage of multiple processors isn't a trivial procedure - in fact...

that is an official mail. Th eattached file is simply the digital signature of it - nothing to be worried about. In Mail.app on my Mac, the recent Introversion emails have a fancy 'Security: [squiggle] Signed' header at the top. I've never seen one of those before. The key and download mirror email...

Something I've been wondering about - what happens if you don't leave the alliance before the nukes hit? Points deducted, or something?

Alliances are, after all, merely a way of getting your missiles closer to your opponents. ;-)

Processor affinity just forces a program to run on one particular processor - it doesn't magically combine multiple cores into one, or anything like that. DEFCON works absolutely fine on my dual-core MacBook Pro. I suggest you give up on the overclocking, and accept that single-thread programs (like...

I just had the best game. With a great double-back-stab. Ohyes. I'd been too busy with my pre-emptive strike on Africa, then my initial alliance-breaking attack on Russia to be prepared for another attack on Europe - all my subs were stationed off the Americas... I had very few nukes left by the ti...

That's why Europe and the USSR usually form an alliance ;) Maybe - but I don't think my friends will trust me in such an alliance again. My little fleet of nuclear subs, lurking in the Arctic Ocean, lying in wait for that final, audacious attack against Moscow. Combine with a swarm of bombers and I...

Created a new page on the Valve wiki - it's a copy-and-paste job, but do feel welcome to rebuild it into something better! ;-)

Excellent! Sadly this'll be the one independent game I probably won't be buying over Steam - there's that eye-bruisingly green box still sat, pride-of-place on my desk. But I know from experience with MINERVA that having anything to do with Valve amplifies public interest by a rough factor of a mill...

Homeworld 2, eh? Beautiful game, sounds gorgeous, was about as much fun (for me) as a late tax return due to its (for me) ridiculous difficulty. I got to the third or fourth level before giving up - and I played full-price for it as well. I think I need to try again... Only complaint about Darwinia ...

Cheers, that's fixed it. I've got a list of slightly more sensible, non-dual-screen screen modes available for Darwinia now! (Should I complain that the game runs far better on my PC under Linux than under Windows XP? No crashes, no farting audio, and I now don't have to disable dual-head, for whate...
