You will need steam to run darwinia, so does every other game on steam. even codename gordon Actually you don't need Steam running to play Codename Gordon. Just a FYI. :D Yes, congratulations for making my point. It shouldn't in any way tarnish performance. Some people find it does. I suppose that ...

Just to clear a few things up, we will continue to support Darwinia within steam and without. The only things removed from our site today were the Darwinia demos (at Valve's request), and the win32 online download. You can still buy the boxed copies from us, and you can download the Linux version a...

My thoughts on Demo2 v3
Good job guys; this thing is nearly perfect. :) Loved the music and new sound effects. A couple of comments. There's just a few instances of Sepulveda using "i'm" instead of "I'm" launchpad_intro_2 My name is Dr Sepulveda and i'm the creator of this digital world. launchpad_tutorial_54 Ok to fill yo...

My thoughts on the new control scheme and demo.
Well, I'd first like to say thanks for putting the new control system into the game. :) The old one was unique, but I sometimes had difficulty getting it to notice the difference between an Engineer and a Grenade :D A couple of suggestions so far on the new control scheme after playing through the f...

That's what happened to me the first time; however upon relplaying, the entire triforce section didn't take much more than an hour or two to find all the charts and then find the triforce bits.

If Will Wright's Spore comes out this year (Probably not happening, but you never know) and is everything it is said to be, then I'd label that one the "one game to get." As cool as Darwinia is, nothing'll beat using an infinately customizable editing system to bring a single-celled organism through...

Re: Just bought the game online and I have a few questions
2) Most people have been getting their copies fairly quickley. It does, to some extent, depend on where you live. Royal mail has been getting things to the US east coast in a couple of days, but the USPS has been slow at getting things to the other end. I think there is someone in Alaska who has st...

If you had read ANY of the topics you would know Introversion don't do expansions. As for modding, yes there is quite an amount growing at the moment. I'm not quite so sure...they've only done one game before, and it would be tricky to make a decent expansion for Uplink which wouldn't be just more ...

Quick question UndeadScottsman, why do you sign each of your posts? What's the point? You are you, we don't need to know your actual name. Just wondering, it seems rather unusual forum behaviour. It's just a way of showing I'm willing to stick my name next to what I say. Plus it's also a sign of a ...
