That's a great idea... hadn't thought of that! I guess I figured that a multi-CPU bug wouldn't be reintroduced between 1.42 and 1.5, but if that works then it's an easy fix (I've got imagecfg to run some other, older games already). But... I hear you lose your savegames going from 1.42 to 1.5? Hmm. ...

Ugh, I'm almost to that level! And I always lose control of those dang things. Heh. This could be a lot of CTD fun for me.

Any chance at all we'll see a patch to 1.5.11 that fixes ATI Radeon HD's?

Thought I'd chime in... I just reinstalled Darwinia after a few years off, and this bug is affecting me. I'm running Windows 7 Pro x64, an ATI Radeon HD 4550, and I have one of the original retail discs, which I patched to 1.5.11. I'll try downgrading to 1.42 and see if that helps... EDIT: Can now c...

nice page - but it could be even nicer, If it would be a web-page i.e. written in HTML or something. ;) http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.introversion.co.uk%2F Just because it doesn't validate doesn't mean it isn't written in HTML. There are a lot of "unofficial" tags that are unde...

I doubt it... if they had done the translations in Google, why wouldn't they have simultaneously released Spanish and whatever other languages Google has translation tools for? I suspect the German in the forum post was done at the last second with Google, but I would think the game was actually tra...

10 X = 0 20 X = X + 1 30 PRINT X 40 GOTO 20 ^^ That was my first program. Now, let me ask: what the hell is wrong with GOTO?! I love GOTO?! Well, I've had the GOTO kicked out of me by stupid CS classes. I don't think it's as evil a thing as they make it out to be, but in your case that could easily...

I'd be fairly sure that you aren't the only one with Intel Graphics... if this were a widespread problem, it would have been reported more than once. Intel Graphics are so idiotically common now that there is very little chance no else with that card has played Demo2.

I don't think Demo2/WINE capability is a high priority for them... They'll probably have a linux demo2 sometime.

The download version is version 1.22 and does not need to be patched. I don't know what version the currently shipping version of Darwinia is, but you should be fine with just the downloaded version, no need to install the disc version unless you really want to.
