I'd be fairly sure that you aren't the only one with Intel Graphics... if this were a widespread problem, it would have been reported more than once. Intel Graphics are so idiotically common now that there is very little chance no else with that card has played Demo2.

I don't think Demo2/WINE capability is a high priority for them... They'll probably have a linux demo2 sometime.

The download version is version 1.22 and does not need to be patched. I don't know what version the currently shipping version of Darwinia is, but you should be fine with just the downloaded version, no need to install the disc version unless you really want to.

NT 5.1 build 2600... I'd definetly say WinXP there...
