I FINALLY succeeded in a large-scale naval battle with very few casualties: here's what I did. I was NA against Russia in the Pacific Theater, and I set my ships this way: Front Line 6 Battleships 6 Battleships Back Line 3 Carriers 3 Carriers 3 Carriers 3 Carriers 2 of my carr groups had 1 bomber 2 ...

I totally understand where you're coming from -- I don't play with inverted y-axis on FPS's and all my friends say I'm crazy...'till I mop the floor with them. Just saying, if you don't think about it as moving your camera, and instead think about it as moving the map underneath your static camera, ...

Yes, there is currently no way to enter a password if you're connecting manually to a server.

Should be fixed, hopefully it will =).

I believe the main problem here is the difference between "team" and "ally." A "team" is any player -- so the player playing North America is on the North America team. If you click over to the North America team using Team Switching, you will be able to control their u...

Not that it's a bad idea, but it's pretty intuitive what it does.... You "grab" the world with your middle mouse button and pan it in opposite direction you move your mouse, thus moving the world, not your camera....

I doubt it, but I'll try setting the ports to 0 in-game since I'm on the DMZ anyway.

My ISP never does any work -- it would surprise me if they took the time to block some ports =P

You got the options wrong!

Nix East Europe, there's just one Europe, and add South America.

You can be sure that the United States of America will not take your attack upon Britain soil lightly. Neither will you be spared for destroying one of the most original companies of the decade. I wish you good day, and I raise the terror alert status to purple. Perhaps a terrifying turqoise will h...

Can't host, but can join.

I'm behind a Linksys router so of course my first impulse is to redo my port forwarding NAT kinda things, so I forward first UDP, then both, of ports 5010 and 5011. No-go. I then look again and see they say something about UPnP causing difficulties, see a similar setting on my router set to enabled,...

It's also entirely possible that the servers you are trying to join are badly configured -- aka port forwarding is not enabled, etc., and thus no one can join them.

Try joining a game that already has several people in it, and see what happens.

You cannot have a bomber attack a land-based target in DEFCON 3, thus it's not giving you the option.

However, bombers use their conventional weapons to great effect against naval targets like carriers and battleships.

aye, I'd like to put in a request right now that anything that happens in-game, STAYS in-game. If I backstab you at the last moment when we are coordinating a strike such as that outlined above, it's not because I dislike you, or anything else, you simply have population for me to wipe out in order ...

nope, that's what happens. After takeoff, a bomber needs a certain amount of time (90 secs?) to ready the SRBM, and if that ready time happens to end when the bomber is near the target, the bomber launches the bomb immediately, regardless of its distance from the blast zone, and turns around to land...
