Speaking of additions to blackbox.txt, how about "time running" or something similar so we know how long the game was running before it crashed?

Oops. I thought it might be more of a hardware incompatibility though than a problem with the menus.

When I get to the debug information by pressing F6 or using the debug menu, the information is displayed onscreen, but the game crashes after a few seconds (usually about 20 seconds). Changing userid.txt causes crash

I found preferences.txt in Darwinia's contents, and then I saw the userid.txt, so I wondered what would happen if I changed it. Answer? Crash! I'm not sure this is a bug, because Darwinia shouldn't let you change the userid, but here are the crash reports anyway: blackbox.txt Darwinia.crash.log

I found the preferences.txt file location: Right or Control-click on Darwinia, and select "Show Package Contents", it's in there. Crash on selecting prefs menu

Darwinia consistently crashes when I try to get to the Prefs menu. I press F1 then click on the Prefs option, and the sound stops for 10 seconds, then it starts again and Darwinia crashes two seconds later. Nothing new shows up on screen in the game.
