Increasing guards hit points through research
Hi, I would like to do a mod where the chief officer can train in the yard guards so they have some self-defense skills and practice fitness exercises. As I envision it, that would be split into several tiers, each giving +1 permanent HP to the guard. Also, the aim of this mod would be to have 'alwa...

Cloning tool very limited
Hello,
The cloning tool is limited to something like 12x12 or 15x15... Is it a limitation of the engine? I would have liked to copy an entire building of 25x63 in one pass...

editing out failure condition
I might have been too optimistic with my prison layout when I checked 'failure conditions'. Is it possible to disable it in an ongoing prison. Too many deaths

Re: Is this really the main forum?
Extended early access also probably means a big spread of active players over 3 years or so, if you get what I mean. e.g at a given time, there is not a bunch of people with questions or comments.

Is this really the main forum?
I'm surprised by the rather low activity of the PA forum (and I include the subforum for registered members, that I check too). The game was launched officially in October, so got an influx of newcomers. It is supposed to have passed the 2 millions mark, copies wise... So forum should be busting wit...

can a prisoner with keys unshackle another?
Because if not, you don't need a secure door to solitary cell, a plain wood door will be enough.

Re: [Technical] Subsidence algorithm
Still I think it seems the obvious way to go the method he described. The external wall is the most external wall that encloses something, might the the one that encloses most buildings. Its easy to test, just create an outer wall which is not closed and check which is demolished, the external that...

Re: Game performance slow after map expansions
Channel people. Limit open spaces and create clear pathways and chokepoints, this will reduce the pathfinding load. Also be sure to limit prisoners to some space and not have them wander where they want.

Reclaiming a gang cell
One gang member claimed his own cell. I don't have any specific button to claim it back, so what should I do to make a show of force? Station 1 guard per square in the cell for 24 hours?

Can they dig a tunnel from the toilet, if you put one in solitary?

Re: Holding cells major issues
Guys thanks a bunch! I have been banging my head against the wall on this issue and really it has been detrimental to the experience, as for me it was as if I was under a major bug... Now that I know the rule, I can cope with it and understand how to fix my issues. But not in my current prison, too ...

Re: Holding cells major issues
Mmmh, so you mean it is mandatory ?
I can understand it leads to deadlock situations then... and I have read the wiki, in no place it says it is mandatory, just that they can become disgruntled if not receiving 'proper cell quality treatment'.

Re: Holding cells major issues
Thanks for the replies all. It seems to be revolving around cell quality and/or privacy. I'll accept that, although prisoners are not my 'guests'. They should take what I give them. I confirm that there is no flash warning on my side too and the game indicates properly there is enough room for all s...

Re: Holding cells major issues
I know how you might feel, this is slightly not tidy and OCS compliant :) I'll repeat myself: accept all intakes, and no pausing. Try to do your best with that. But I admit I was mostly interested in seeing how long I can survive the spiraling of violence, plus I'm new to the game. There is indeed t...
