I second the motion to check firewall/router/port forwarding options.

Ooooh. I had a feeling, but my World knowledge of International borders isn't that snazzy.

Re: BUGS!

And it can sure use a better server browser. i agree! More sorting & such. Some game i have (forget what one) lets you sort serers via location. So i could see only North America, you could see your continent, etc. That would be Counter Strike and HL and all the Source variants. Steam's native ...

True, Hmuda. Tis why I'm trying to get a thread of mine stickied so I can point people to feature requests. Of course, the mods/admins can simply create a suggestions forum for everyone's ideas to get lost in - and I'll petition to get a summary sticky done in there, instead :) Hey, I've done it bef...

I must admit I was surprised when I noticed a lack of a public lobby. Yes, some may try to abuse them (ie unsolicited advertising) but its worth it for helping people talk to each other and figure out who wants what type of game Oh, and a definate /sign for the screensaver. Those nukes flying across...

Just gonna say I don't get these problems, but I'm running on a nice 8Mb connection (hoorah for me). I occasionally get very slow 'Connecting bars', and some that don't fill up at all, but for now, I'm blaming these on a poor Network/Router/Firewall setup on the host side. Anyone else getting these ...

I haven't looked into this, mostly because I simply lack the required skills to do anything about it, but I believe that DEFCON is quite moddable and it should be relatively easy for users to create their own custom cool maps.

Correct me if I'm way wrong, though.

And don't forget the Darwinians, the little guys need to be saved too, you know. Who cares about a few hundred million lives when you can save a few thousand little green men!

I totally agree about the server filter, too.

I've also been linking any relevant threads on this forum in my OP so there's as little confusion as possible (also to credit those who made cool suggestions before I did).

IMHO you should be spending money on all 3 of IV's released games. I've got all 3 myself and I go back to them time and again.

Shouldn't the list be:

* USA & Canada
* South America
* Africa
* Europe
* Russia
* Asia

?

If so then I like Europe, for now. I seem to have an easier time defending it.

The Official Suggestions Thread

Well, OK, its not official, but we're lacking a suggestions/requests/feature comments forum so I'm hoping this will become a mini-nexus for future feature requests for DEFCON. I played DEFCON for several hours last night, and yes, I did enjoy myself, and it was indeed worth the payment - you did goo...

Dumb kids eh? I only bought the Steam copy. I would've liked the boxed copy, too, for the collectable and the fact I'm helping IV again. IV were nice and gave me Darwinia for free, so i'm glad I can find the money to give them at least once. Unfortunately, I'm rather poor atm, so the one license wil...

Not really :-)

Steam suffered a bug with authentication which meant that all users were thought to be DEMO users rather than paid users. Was fixed in like, 15 minutes though. Other than that, the metaservers for MP were under serious stress 'cos everyone wanted to go MP at once.
