Re: [Suggestion] Pot Plant

Not sure if this is true elsewhere, but here in the USA, pot is common slang for marijuana. Although things are changing, having a pot plant in your office is still against the law in many places in the US, while having a potted plant in your office is not.

Re: [Suggestion] Shortcut keys

I strongly support the addition of hotkeys. Player re-definable hotkeys would be best. A couple related Mantis entries: http://bugs.introversion.co.uk/view.php?id=5889 http://bugs.introversion.co.uk/view.php?id=4841 It doesn't hurt, and may well help, to "declare your stance" for these ent...

Re: Remote Door Bug

The Mantis bug entry can be found here: http://bugs.introversion.co.uk/view.php?id=5439 . Or at least one of the several entries. Quick answer: No, it has not be "fixed". In my opinion, at least part of the reason it has not been fixed is that there are several viable workarounds, and not ...

Re: Assigning prisoners

Do you have one or more holding cells so that all of your security levels have access to one? If not, do you have enough cells for each of your security levels?

Re: This god damn event system...

I've got to agree that the virus outbreak is currently too severe and tedious to respond to. I've got a sick mind and kind of get into tedium sometimes, but even I was about at my limit dealing with an outbreak. I actually think the single biggest thing would be to make it impossible for a prisoner ...

Re: Resolution fails

Ok. You need to fill out a bug report on Mantis. There are instructions for accessing the Mantis bug tracker on the Developer's Forum: http://forums.introversion.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=17925 If you don't have access to the Developer's forum, see: http://forums.introversion.co.uk/viewtopic.ph...

Re: Resolution fails

Two things that may help: First, verify the integrity of the game cache under Steam (find Prion Architect in your Steam library, right-click on it and select properties, select local files tab, click on Verify the Integrity of Game Cache). If that doesn't fix things, make certain your video drivers ...

It would also be fun to see any escaped prisoners dancing around just off the map edge :)

Re: [Discussion] A future patch should cut back micromanagi

I understand the fun of setting up a prison that will run well without user intervention. It certainly seems like the devs are heading away from that kind of game. One possible way to allow the "set it up and watch it run" experience would be to have an option when constructing a new priso...

Re: Prison size (in real life)/Character speed

Trixi, thanks for the information relating sentences and solitary time to game time. I've always wondered about that. I had also read about time warp issues but never had them explained so clearly. I don't think these will help ForbiddenOne much, who was talking about a small prison, where the time ...

Re: Prison size (in real life)/Character speed

I've always considered the time element in PA to be different from ordinary time, even though PA uses regular time terminology. For example, Solitary Confinement uses "hours" instead of "days". Would a 2-hour solitary confinement really have any impact on a prisoner in real life?...

Re: Prisoners won't jog during freetime/yard/work

Having things in their cells to help meet their needs will help keep your prisoners happy. For example, a weights bench will allow a prisoner to fulfill the exercise need even if the prisoner is locked down. A TV/Radio will do the same for entertainment, a prayer mat for Spirituality, etc. So it's n...

Remember that the devs have said that there will continue to be monthly updates even after the initial release. They just won't be alpha updates.

Re: How to raise the health grading

How do I raise the health grading? get rid of all weightbenches. weightlifing does not contribute to "XX% of stay exercising", but prisoners with a exercise need will prefer doing weighlifting to running around the yard. This is a bug. If you want it fixed, add your support to the page on...

Re: [Suggestion] Deployment Scheduler: always

I was excited by your suggestion, Salaander. That would be very useful. Then I read Shifty's reply, I tried changing one of my colored squares (I chose midnight to 1 am) and changed it white. Yes, it was part of my night patrol block, but I figured if something was always it would also be part of th...
