Re: Are logic gates broken
Nevermind... I take back (partially) what I said... the Remote Door + Door Timer works, but during the times that the door is "shut" the inmates are still stacking up on the door as if it were not marked as "locked" (with the red stop sign.) So I still can't achieve an automated...

Re: Are logic gates broken
xlr8films, if you use remote doors, they can't be opened locally. They have to be operated by the switch. Try that and see if it helps. Ok, when you say switch... you mean the actual power switch right? Not a guard remote controlling the doors? Cuz that still requires me to pay attention to the tim...

Re: [Bug] Doctors are now Witch Doctors in Alpha 31
I've got the same issue. It looks like the todo for a dead prisoner is getting set to "heal prisoner". This makes them not drag off the dead to the morgue or otherwise. They just keep trying to be Frankenstein forever. Worse, they become obsessed by it and don't get around to healing live ...

Re: Are logic gates broken
I've driven myself mad on this sort of thing. My thread here: http://forums.introversion.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=52424 What I determined is that the Logic Circuit is standalone. You have to right click on it to get it to change state, but you cant add anything before it. So there is no way c...

Re: Idea! A mutual cell!
I'm doing this in a current prison. I have a block of 10 smaller dormitory style holding cells restricted to min sec only. See it here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=425848099 The primary issue I see so far is that holding cell doors stay closed, unlike cell doors. The priso...

Re: Are logic gates broken
Like I said in the other thread, you need power at those servos. Run electrical cable under them and it'll work. Troubleshooting step #1: Is it plugged in? :) Just in case you were directing that to me... the door control system connection tool will not accept a logic gate as it's target. I cannot ...

Re: Can't access dev/Alpha forum, Help with building as well
Try this: build a 11x31 rectangle building (sketch it out in planning mode first!). this is exactly the right size for 20 3x2 cells with a single tile hallway down the middle the long way. I really dislike single tile hallways. They are a congestion point and in a fight (max-sec is so much fun!), t...

Re: [Suggestion] Kitchen Calculator
A fellow prison boffin was nice enough to post this kitchen calculator to google docs... I think you'll enjoy it.

Re: [Suggestion] prison commissary
A prison commissary would serve a store within the prison. the prisoners would be able to buy certain luxury items, snacks and hygiene products. the prisoners would also be able to work in it serving other prisoners. I've been having the same thoughts. In real prisons, commissaries provide the pris...

[Suggestion} Serving Table Pass-through
I'd like to see serving tables serviced from the back, and prisoners access from the other (rail) side. This would in my opinion present a more realistic view of a prison serving line, where you could build it into a wall and have it serviced from the kitchen side without needing to punch a hole thr...

[Suggestion] Walk/Stand lines
In the military, prisons, and other applications, a painted line or footsteps on the floor have been used to either suggest or, depending on the situation, demand that people follow the line, or line up on the line. Directionality is indicated with arrow markers, orientation of footprints, or colors...

Re: Can't access dev/Alpha forum, Help with building as well
Good planning and forethought are the key. Keep a large buffer between the prisoners and the edges of the map to hinder tunneling. I've spent quite a bit of time with the game paused, using the planning tool to sketch in buildings. My advice would be to focus on a single security level and design t...

I may be mistaken, but don't those servos need to be powered?
