No need to be so aggressive you know. I had no intention of starting a flame war and as for the posting without reading the date of the posts, I can attribute that to my ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). I simply wanted to state the facts about the Macs/PCs and again had no intention ...

Just go ahead and tell me I'm wrong. You'll soon find out that I am indeed right. Just try and put in a Mac formatted disk into a pc running windows. It will ask you to format it because it does not recognize the Mac format. Now, I'm not saying you couldn't go and buy software to make windows see th...

Yes, that's true. But you're forgetting that if the BIOS doesn't allow booting from the CD, then you won't even be able to get to that option. Also, the idea is to gain access without the knowledge of the victim. If the victim knows, then you have already failed.

Ah the old Mac better then PC, and a bump of over a year.... You fail. Macs have good points, PCs have good points. Best point about PCs, compatability with pretty much everything. Don't see that on Macs. Actually you can run windows on a mac now. Also, Macs can recognize PC formatted disks, but PC...

Anyone try just putting a Windows install CD into the machine to completely circumvent the password? That will only work if Booting from CD or other removable media is not disabled in the BIOS. Also, there is a security setting in windows that if enabled, you won't be able to access the recovery co...

Re: illegal selling

Hey all, I just purchased the game off of ebay and the user said they would ship the item... I even paid shipping and handling. The guy emailed me with a link to http://www.uploading.com , with a password to download the game. He claims to be one of the guys that produced the game and that Introver...

No, Ambrosia is the Macintosh distributer. If you take them down, I'm gonna have to hurt someone (just kidding)... But seriously, they distribute mac games; it seems to me that all these websites are distributing the windows version.

Transfering licenses between 2 different OS's

I had originally gotten a license code to Uplink for Mac OS X; recently, I've gotten a PC and was wondering if it might be possible to transfer that code (license) to the PC in such a way that it will only work for the PC. In other words, I no longer want to play it on my Mac, but don't want to have...
