i always made the easy connection gateway-internic-3 well survayable bounces-target server, and after alerting them i justt waited till their trace was one step before reaching internic and changed my "connection routed from 127.0.0.1 to x.x.x.x" into "connection routed from <this poor sucker's ip> ...

sounds more like a bug then a cheat, especially the gateway thing.
btw: with charts/ranking you mean the agent's ranking list or your uplink rating (novice, skilled, mage, ...) ?

btw: you don't even need these seven lines. as the active trace is usually very fast on mainframes, they already know a good part of your bounce connection, meaning that deleting the logs on the mainframe doens't help at all (useless )

personally, i hate the "trace a hacker"-missions. the pay is ridiculous, and sometimes it takes you half an hour till you finally know the name

don't you have to delete the logs in your bank account too, saying that there was this amount ogf money deposited? i read once that they may catch you because of this log, although you deleted the internic and the hacked bank-logs...
