I have a little something about the mod though. I tried running it, and it gets to the 'change directory' screen, but it can't change it.  it only defaults to 'C:\program files\uplink' and it's stuck there.  Can i install to this and then just transfer the files or something? thanks

Especially since Uplink seemed to be made in Visual C++ (at least that's what dev screenshots seemed to show).  I guess they could have done a different language, but they didn't... so no vc++, perhaps no uplink.  *shrug*

Are you sure you change the channel to just #uplink?  if you are still going to #uplink-test, that would be why it's quiet. *shrug* just checking.
