Oooh. Haven't been here in a while. Blacklaw means.... well, Blacklaw. Basically. I've used this nym for about seven years (I forget exactly when). I don't live in Blacklaw (an actual place here in the UK), and I don't work for blacklaw.com (Black, Lowe, and Graham lawfirm). Nor am I Richard Blackla...

I WUNT WUN! :p

Where do I purchase such a stunning piece of gaming perfection?  <has £99 ready in hand (well, on the other end of his debit card, anyway)>

Mine aren't.  My floppy disk images are labelled .BIN. But that's just me. :) Anthony - perhaps an explanation of what exactly the programme is that requires this strange format may help jog people's memories?  I, for one, have never heard of a "GP32 emulator". -Blacklaw EDIT: Ty...

No it isn't.  Trust me on this one. If it's a bitwise image of a SmartMedia card, then you'll need whatever software was used to create it.  Failing that, you'll need a hexeditor, a fair amount of knowledge of various file formats, and a wodge of spare time. But I can assure you, nothing i...

Never heard of it.  Sorry.  All the SmartMedia card equipment I've ever had (three cameras, a palmtop(ish thing) and an MP3 player) just records it in native format. As a matter of fact, I've never *heard* of a bitmap image format taking the extention .SMC.  Did the equipment in quest...

Depends - what *is* an .SMC file?  What format does it take?

Googling turns up nothing.  Is it a text format?  Image format?  Archive format?  Executable format?  Audio format?

And you expect anyone to actually *believe* that, Prozak?

Sure. Whatever. Enjoy. Call me when you've passed puberty, and I'll start reading your posts again.

My day job is as the sysadmin for a private school here in Bradford (that's Yorkshire, England for all you overseas chaps and chapesses) proves that you *can* secure Win9x boxen, so long as you know what you're doing . Thanks to some judicious registry hacking, they're locked down tighter than a Sco...

Thank you for the greeting, Iris. :) And to correct a typo in my previous post, I of course meant "Speaking as a moderator" rather than "Speaking of a moderator". And I knew that this forum would attract a certain age of participant (what with it being about a 'cracking' game and...

Ahem.... The original home computer was the Altair. It arrived in kit form (and even if you were an electronics guru, it only had a 1 in 3 chance of working once built). The Altair had no keyboard, no disk drive, no screen, no serial ports, no punchcard reader... In short, nothing that you could sto...

Speaking of a moderator of a popular entertainment website/forum (and ex-moderator of the old OCS forums - any UK overclockers remember them?), I can tell you that this is not the way to become a moderator. I get mails/PMs every day from people saying "I's gr33t, m4k3 m33 a m0deratur plz!"...
