Does the DevCD work with the Strategy First (North American) version of Uplink? I would think that it would, but then again I don't want to buy it and have it not be compatible.

It's not that big of a deal to create a new agent... After learning how the game worked I created a new agent and beat in a day. It sucks to lose all your stuff, but you can get it back pretty quick once you get the stuff needed to hack the banks.

Make sure the theme files are in a seperate folder (e.g. C:\Program Files\Uplink\Deus Ex). Extracting the "..."
folder with WinRAR to C:\Program Files\Uplink\ does this.

Hack some banks, accounts with a lot of cash. You can get to at least Mage that way.

About the Neuromancer rating:
Not to my knowledge. The Neuromancer rating is an underground rating, and employers will not judge you by it. It is by definition "unofficial".

I've done it quite a few times transfering the money straight to the Uplink bank. Just have a Monitor Bypass and Proxy Bypass running. I have no trouble acessing the central mainframe, in fact, I'm pretty good at it.
