Re: Alpha 26b... *shakes head*

Bad argument. Why did you buy the car (game) in the first place? It's been sitting at the dealership for awhile now, and the tire was always missing from the start (in the Steam store for months, advertised as early access) , but you understood the risks of purchasing the car and finalized the deal...

Re: [Suggestion/Volunteering] Voice-Overs

I'm sure they could afford to pay (from what I've read they're up to 10 million dollars in alpha for PA), but I get the feeling they're not interested in having VO in the game. Maybe that'll change before release. Either way, it would be interesting to know if the modding system allows tying the pla...

Re: [Suggestion] Reconsider Guard Deployments.

There definitely needs to be a way to make guards' deployment change over the course of a day. I think the suggestions above pretty much cover it: ⋅ Allow the creation of generic guard "goups" (they can be called "squads", or something). ⋅ Allow the creation o...

Re: Kitchens in A26 - Is THIS really the best solution?

Even if you do all that, prisoners can still all decide to go to one of the canteens, leaving the others empty. You can't really "fix" meal distribution or advance preparation without fixing prisoner distribution at the same time. Do you also suggest linking individual cells to canteens wi...

Re: [Suggestion] Shakedown management

I think there should be an "incident report" in general (i.e., a record of events in the last 24 or 48 hours), regardless of whether you make any shakedowns or not. As to the shakedown, I think the idea of the developers is that it should be a quick global option, and that, to search only ...

Re: [Suggestion] More Prison Inmates Control

As mentioned above, you can move prisoners to another cell by selecting the prisoner and right-clicking on the destination cell. However, there's no way to see who a cell "belongs" to when it's empty, or to locate its owner. Right-clicking on an empty part of a cell with no tool selected s...

Re: Suggestion - Auto "Go to event"

Auto go-to, not really. It would just get crazy on any large prison. But an "incident record" page inside your "Reports", listing incidents in the last 24 or 48 hours (with the option to filter by type, and pan to that area by clicking on each incident) would be great. For examp...

Re: Suggestion- Grouping Prisoners From Same Security Level

I included this as one of the fundamental changes the game needs to make the AI stop doing "stupid" things. Since this is connected to several bugs in the database, I listed it here:

Re: Kitchens in A26 - Is THIS really the best solution?

I don't think manual selection of meals is the ideal solution. The teleportation is a somewhat ugly hack, but it's really covering for the AI's shortcomings (at a low cost in terms of performance). The problem is that both prisoners and cooks can decide to use any of the canteens and any of the kitc...

Re: An argument for having a level beyond Super-Max

My proposal is this: above Max-Sec, there should be a Paul Class. Prisoners in the Paul Class are sent to 1x1 isolation cells, where they are permanently sequestered for the safety of all the other prisoners. Meals can be brought through a sliding door, and a grate in the floor would function as th...

Re: [Suggestion] - New reputations

What about the individual bio of your staff? Don't you guys think that there should be also a profile for every employee just like 'Theme Hospital' did? I definitely think there should be traits for staff, and you should be able to send them on programs too. Ex., sending guards on a self-defence or...

Re: [Suggestion] - New reputations

BTW, just as a follow-up to the previous post, here are some positive traits that prisoners could also have (note that, like the ones above, these are just things with a certain % chance, they're not guaranteed to trigger all the time, or even at all): "Smartypants" - Has significantly inc...

Re: [Suggestion] - New reputations

Who would want mentor; lockpicker or poisoner or sabouter, fast learner or wellconnected roaming freely? I don't think you're supposed to want any of them roaming freely. That's why they were sent to prison. The way you deal with them is a challenge. You could, for example, put them inside locked s...

[Suggestion] - New reputations

I tried searching for this, but didn't manage to find an existing thread, so here goes. A list of suggestions for new prisoner reputations / character traits: "Crafty" - Prisoner is better at hiding contraband in his cell (guards are less likely to find contraband / tunnels in cells of pri...
